Election Day
Dear Revolutionaries:
My name is Jay B. Walker A.K.A. "Zyyro", brother to Dr. Lillie Ruth Walker, M.D. known as Heather Foxworth in creative circles. I am an Artist and Director in Film and TV who left the security of working in TV in NYC to keep my sister's ATL based non-profit alive after her recent death.
A passion for CHANGE fuels my life. It fueled my sister's life too. She was a Medical Doctor, Classical Singer and a Film Maker Educated at Howard University.
A TRUE RENAISSANCE WOMAN.
From Medicine to Music to Movies.....she did it all and started a non-profit in ATL to create excitement about learning through teaching film production. She supported it out of her pocket from 1997 til passing away in April 2008. I am attempting to keep her dream alive and continue making CHANGE a reality. I need your help though.

The children have recently shot interviews at a recent Hip Hop Summit event that will be edited into a piece about the non-profit and the current state of positivity that exists in urban neighborhoods following President Elect Barack Obama's win. We will be covering issues connected to the campaign and shining light on those doing positive things in this time of CHANGE.
We are attempting to raise funds to complete this project and submit to foundations for Grants in 2009.
Our goal is to create an ONLINE TV and SOCIAL NETWORK run by the kids that provides EDUTAINMENT with HIP HOP RENAISSANCE FLAVOR!

Yea, I always wanted to read that and also "Howl" (Allen Ginsberg). The Beat movement had a huge influence on the sixties, which culturally, historically, and musically is my favorite era, so I should really get up on that. You ever make your way out to the NY area?
I graduated with my bachelor's last year from SUNY Purchase in NY; I majored in Liberal Arts and Communication. In a month I'm going to be taking an evening course at the New York Film Academy to work towards grad school credits (no grad school for me anytime soon tho..) By the way, lovin' your quotes from Marley and Janis; good shit. Never got to read Kerouac, unfortunately...
