yea, my job is great! actually, the archives would really like to review less than lion for our monthly newsletter (www.blackgrooves.org)! would it be possible to get a promotional copy? i think you guys are great! thanks for the add. :)
Well, louisville is traditionally three kinds of music:
1. Hardcore
2. Bluegrass
3. Regular country
There are a lot of sleepy, too-cool-for-school hipster bands, and the rap scene here is finally starting to wake up (ie: Nappy Roots, an upcoming group called Skyscraper Stereo).
There are a lot of kickass neuvo-southern-rock bands popping up (Think skinard meets muddy waters meets the Sex Pistols) but we're kind of doing something different
Our town has a lot of smaller music venues, but not really that much for after you can fill a bar. We don't get a lot of national rock acts coming through here at all. Like, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip-- They're not gonna play here.
We're dance-pop-punk. High-energy stuff.
We'd play with you guys if you're considering coming here. I think that'd be a lot of fun and a very interesting/unique show. You should look up a group we're friends with called Lotus Blake. I think you guys would mesh well with what they have going on.
Combining raw talent with a go-getter attitude, Terry Kennedy worked his way from skating in the streets of Long Beach to pro skater and entrepreneur.

Afro-punk is a platform for the other Black experience, the one we don't see in our media. D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) is the foundation.
