Amanda Ray Comment by Amanda Ray on July 15, 2009 at 2:23pm
I believe in what you think about, you bring about. And I was just thinking about how I need some new equipment! lol
I just finish shooting my first music video, about to shoot a 2nd next month and have just started writing my new concept album. If that ain't enough on my plate I'll be touring it this Fall. So I think this was perfect timing!

Spank You!

Hello and thank for posting this contest. I dont have much in the way of doing a vidieo, as I dont even know if I'm ready for that yet..... I do play guitar, but have lost my amp in a cross country relocation. If you'd like you are more than welcome to check out some of the noise I'm making on my page..... I'm not sure begging is the right thing to do for these contest, but I really could use the equipment. Just like a lot of the other folks that are trying I have to take a shot just as well.... I'm straight out of "Locash" like in the movie CB4, and I'm talkin H.B.O.! Help a Brotha' Out! ...Like Chris Rock said, "We was so poor, the doormat just said..WELL?".... I'm tellin you in all honesty I just couldnt afford this stuff if I had to buy it ...well I could, it would just take me a very long time to get there ...but the point is you guys are offering up some gear, and I'm suppose to be creative enough to tell you why I should win.
I dont have an answer to that, ...but I just know the prize will be greatly appreciated! thanx for doing this. Peaze
Rohan Plummer Comment by Rohan Plummer on June 29, 2009 at 2:22am
hello peoples @ who run this contest! im a beginner plain and simple when it comes to my guitar playing but ive always been a good singer/songwriter for my friends bands and shit. im currently collaborating with my close friend Stephan as a two piece project called BLACK HEART UNDERCOVER. the EP is called "The Words We Could Never Find". I'm sick and tired of going back and forth to use his good amp. He lives in Canarsie, Brooklyn and Iive in Laurelton, Queens...FUCK THAT! I get totally animated about that shit. so i wanna win the fucking amp plain and simple. sorry for my language but i havent even begun to emphasize on how bad I NEED this. (second prize is fine with me as well)LOL
FUNKFACE Comment by FUNKFACE on June 28, 2009 at 11:04pm
Hello my name is Luqman Im in a band called FUNKFACE. Check us out at www.funkfacenyc.com or myspace.com/funkface I feel that we should win the gear because we are the most hated band in America. Everyone says were too old or too young or too crazy. Just because we rock harder than folks half our age, or twice as old as us, they hate us. We cannot help it when we rock out so hard and play so loud. We are true punks and we were born this way. We never asked anyone for anything and we try to give everything of ourself's when we play. No matter what folks think of us we will never stop rocking. We will never stop slam dancing we will never ever stop pushing boundaries and buttons. THIS IS WHO WE ARE!!!!! If we get this gear I promise to use it to destroy ever stage that we touch and leave a pint of our blood smeared across every monitor in the world.

Heya. Loud singer-songwriter (emphasis on loud, ya'll) getting back in the groove in Boston and could use some new equipment to make magic happen. Whenever I pick up a new piece of gear I spend more time making music, and that yields fantastic results (um...usually.) Playing with pedals is one of my favorite things, and the Kaossilator looks like hella fun. So, yeah. That's my reasoning.

Hi! My name is Brian. I'm part of the NYC music scene and I work in Civil Rights. I love going to afro punk shows. The community is like no other and even when the bands are lame the shows are still fun. I play bass and right rock music. In my last project I had access to a Kaossilator and it was truly a bad ass piece of synth equipment. I hope I win!

hello my name is david mcdaniel and i am in a 2 piece called young boys. www.myspace.com/killyoungboys
afro punk is really important to us and should be to a lot of people for what they are doing and this whole movement. i think we should be the winner because we wont give up. we want people to listen and it might be easier with some equipment.... we moved out here from minneapolis to start this band and had to sell some things to do it. like my guitar amp and other equipment. any ways give us a listen.

cheers,
davidx
