Afro-punk

Normal is a word frequently used throughout daily conversation. A lot of people think normal is something great, and unique is "weird". Well, what does normal mean? By definition of my dictionary it means "conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected " by definition of Unabridged dictionary it is expressed as "natural". But natural which can be seen as something that involuntary is or occurs and the word conformity (compliance with standards, rules, or laws) used in the other definition contradicts each other. If normal is natural then conformity which is doing something not "natural" in order to meet some social standard or law isn't a word that can be used to define normal.
I don't believe normal is natural. I believe normal to be " conforming to a standard; usual; typical or expected" and therefore should not be asked or required of someone. A example of what I mean is the statement "Be normal" or "Can you stop being weird and act normal". Many times the word weird when applied to certain being means unique, or talent in any area (i.e intelligence, style, musical or artistic ability). The reason the person is deemed weird is because the person who consider themselves "normal" are talentless in some area (i.e intelligence, style, musical or artistic ability) and is therefore jealous.
There is nothing great about being normal in my opinion. Normal is just another thing that sole existence is based on something as lame as popularity and wide range acceptance. The exploitation, unhealthy working conditions, and no payment at all in America, China, Haiti in their times of slavery was "normal". Rape, sexual harassment and assaults in America, South Africa, Seychelles, Australia, Jamaica, Dominica, Mexico and too many places in the world today is "normal".Normal is by no means positive or natural.
If anyone deems you weird or abnormal like me be happy and pity them because normal sucks.
