Afro-punk

Hello world SHQUANAccthepr here making my afropunk debut. To start off imma high school graduate living in Brooklyn. I like long walks in the park yadda yadda yadda lol.

But right now I'm at work at Collective Concepts PR, which if you haven't heard is a public relations company. We're just getting off the ground but we're doing big things in the great borough of Brooklyn. If anyone out there knows any small businesses, specifically boutiques, that need to be put on blast about what they do tell them to hit us up.

One of our clients is a small boutique called About Time Boutique. The owner Kevin Phillip started the company in 2008 and since then has worked with several celebrities and bands. About Time Boutique is infamous for their t-shirt designs, among other things. Check out my photos to see some samples of what they've done so far.

As well as public relations we are also hosting a Kid's Day Block Event in Crown Heights right in front of our head office (Sterling PL, Betw. Franklin & Classon). July 25, 2009 is the day so tell everyone you know to come and support. My boss Garnett got the whole street blocked off, and it's gonna be crazy. Water rides, live performances, face painting for the kiddies and so much more. This will definatly be a day of fun.

Ok that's all for now. I will definatly be back everday to keep you guys posted on what's going on in the office, as well as what's going on with me. Hit me on twitter at SHAQUANAccthepr or hit my boss G at CCTHEPR.

Afro-punk is a platform for the other Black experience, the one we don't see in our media. D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) is the foundation.
