Our January 20th bus trip to President-Elect Barack Obama's inauguration in DC is getting really close. If you want to know why I think it's so important to make the trip to the capitol you can go to this link to read my earlier thoughts. We are excited to say that there will be reps from the BBC and MTV rolling with us to cover this historic event through URB ALT eyes.
As we've said earlier the ride to DC is being offered for the round-trip low fee of $60 to members of the URB ALT and Afropunk communities. I want to insure that we can all share the experience without going broke doing it. LOL So, if you're interested definitely make sure to get your money sent to our Paypal account at junkmein@gmail.com ASAP. If you want to pay by money order you can drop the funds off at our office:

The Presidential Inauguration Parade starts at 2:30 p.m. and thankfully tickets are not required. It's going to be a very full day in DC and we will be back in NYC by 10pm the night of the 20th. RAWK!

Oh, and just in case you're still reading and have forgotten how ill Aretha Franklin is check the video below. The legend goes that Pavarotti was supposed to perform but was sick. Homegirl stepped in to take his slot on the Grammy stage with only 20 minutes notice. Trust that she nailed this and stated once and for all that she is the greatest to ever RAWK the mic!
Combining raw talent with a go-getter attitude, Terry Kennedy worked his way from skating in the streets of Long Beach to pro skater and entrepreneur.
