Queen Of Filth Changed for the better!

I've noticed i've changed alot. I've grown more and now i'm way thinner than I was at the beginning of thhe year. My views are different. I'm stil unhappy about taking my locks out but i'll have them again. I actually have Thesims3. Then there are all these emotions that i've never felt before that decide they want to pop up out of the blue right now. Not only that , but I just have this drive to move forward! It's like gravity is working the opposite way - it's working to pull me up out of the… Continue

Keisha WA epiphany

well i just had this epiphany. from all of what i learned in my history class. and recently listening to rap music on the side has actually reinforced this distinction. the reason that i have such problems with men is because of the foundation that the united states of america was built on. all throughout history, the colonization of european immigrants to america have been and always will be white. and not just white, but its actually an ingrained belief that the white race is superior. and tha… Continue

Jon 2morrow Today/Tomorrow: Epic/Smash @ Webster Hall June 30th,2009

Today/Tomorrow: Epic/Smash @ Webster Hall I never really understood the dance called moshing. The two step that involves the entire body to become in sync with the rhythmic pattern of the drum. However, this tempo, unlike the tempos you usually here on the radio, is a unique sound that many people seldom hear anymore, a sound passed down from the hazy days of the late 70s. Legends such as Pure Hell, Bad Brains and Living Colour create this scene that has quickly transformed throughout American… Continue

Keisha WA care

i'm testing to see who my real friends are. i sent out the link for an afro-punk interview, lets see who wants to know about me enough to watch it. I requested for them to watch it in its entirety for a better understanding of myself without the subliminal questions of unspoken carefully watched, and sometimes loose, wording and thoughts. I actually came from a heavily Jamaican family. I mean seriously, eating American food while living in America consisted of pizza, burgers, and the occassiona… Continue

Tim Taylor The Legacy of Punk and Hiphop 1979 -1985

New York City has an almost larger-than-life relation to the rest of the world where it is often perceived as being a major centre. New York is comprised of landmarks and symbols, from the Statue of Liberty, to Times Square to the notoriety of the boroughs themselves. New York’s status as a centre and the way it is talked about suggests the importance of place. This period in time became immortalized in history by the Clash, Future 2000, Afrika Bambaataa, John Lydon, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Glen O… Continue
