Earlier this week,I decided to go back to a spot where I used to hangout with my friends. We were about 12 years old and did not think about the fact that we were trespassing under a railroad bridge. This railroad bridge sat next to an old Army Reserve base very close to our neighborhood.
I went back and discovered some immaculate graffiti while getting devoured by mosquitoes. I think this is some of the best graffiti I've seen in Milwaukee thus far.…

So listen, I know we had a really good thing going last year.
I know I've been gone for a while, and although I might not say anything when I pass you in the street, I do miss the hell out of you as I watch you walk by. So please, don't doubt my sincerity when I say that I love you. But see, one day I couldn't get here anymore and I met this new chick standing on the corner. I know you can guess what's coming; after all, you stole me from MySpace so you know I get distracted super easily. So any…

I'm back covering familiar ground again. It's been a long time and I haven't missed it. Dialing endlessly to agencies to see if they will help you, going to the job center to look for work and get on the computer. Trying to file for unemployment in this completely oversatruated system. You call the line to file and it's BUSY???? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT??? Needless to say I filed on the 23rd and still have yet to see my one funky week check.
I went to an agency about help with the utilities…

Now .....an announcement. I've been pondering this for too long.
An idea I think that will do the African American community major justice.
Forming Coalition type events w/ up & coming talents such as the poets of
today, neo-soul/ jazz & hip hop artists that share positive views
concerning our culture & society as a whole. These gifted talents whom
many are'nt aware of get major recognition , exposure & also help major
causes which whatever campaign organized & who sponsers s…

once again, i'll be missing the afro-punk fest. i live less than 2 hrs away, i could get down to NY easily. but of course, i'm broke and can't make the show. [side note: living without hot water really sucks.] i'm hoping that most of the bands come back to the NY area at some point. especially pure hell, i was so hyped up to see them play....
here's to hoping i have more money (or 2 more jobs and free time) next summer so i can finally catch a show.
have fun for me AP people!

Michael Jackson was probably one of the most controversial figures in history, from turning white to touching little kids private parts or covering his children's faces with masks and scarves. However, there is no question that he was a great musician and that his songs are legendary. One of my favorite memories of him was when he was doing one of his concerts and because the dude had had a million nose jobs, one of his noses fell off on the stage during his performance. I was watching the conce…

Today/Tomorrow: Epic/Smash @ Webster Hall
I never really understood the dance called moshing. The two step that involves the entire body to become in sync with the rhythmic pattern of the drum. However, this tempo, unlike the tempos you usually here on the radio, is a unique sound that many people seldom hear anymore, a sound passed down from the hazy days of the late 70s. Legends such as Pure Hell, Bad Brains and Living Colour create this scene that has quickly transformed throughout American…
