About Me
Transcend the Core is a fourpiece rock band from Brookyln , New York who write heavy, argent , alternative songs.
The Band being active since 2008s' approach to music is pretty simple , write and believe in what your playing . So with a progressive and positive attittude toward their sound they play hard and bring to their live show not only a great sound but an exciting show for their fans and friends.
TTC have played shows at The Annex , Don Hills , Sputniks, Trash Bar , Public Assembly and Fatbaby.
Fronted by Carlos they rely on downtuned guitars,Jonathans' keen sense of guitar work Ericks quick melodic basslines and Armins smart energetic drumming to portray and interesting blend of hardcore and alternative rock.
Carlos's creative lyrics are inspired by things such as relationships personal evolution and conspiracy. He writes about suubjects, piognait and empowering while penning them with his abstract, poetic stylings.
Apart from being musicians the foursome are also audio engineers, video editiors artists and photographers . They mix edit and create all media associated with the band . Influeced by bands such as Chevelle, Ashes diVIDE, Nirvana, Bad Religon and Tool, Their sound is bold creative and honest in their approach and direction.

TRANSCEND THE CORE IS LOOKING FOR A NEW DRUMMER

The New York based, fourpiece Transcend the Core has been active for over a year booking and playing shows and after their drummer leaves in August they are looking for someone to play drums to carry on playing live in the area and eventually beyond.

They’re looking for a fun, friendly and focused musician who can produce 3 / 4, 4 / 4 timing and syncopated rhythms to their Chevelle, Alice in Chains, A Perfect Circle, Nirvana and Tool influenced core sound. Also a person with a sensitive ear and ability to produce beats to changes in musical dynamics and tempos would be ideal. An individual male or female between the ages of 24 – 30 years of age would also be great. They’re also looking for a hardworking, player who’s willing to play a couple shows a month and rehearse at least once a week and have some fun in the process.

They have a few shows booked in the summer (see the band myspace), which our current drummer can play on, and during that time we are willing to work with a musician to get them acclimated to the material to be ready to play shows in the following months.

TTC have a played sets at the Don Hill’s, The Public Assembly, The Trash Bar, The Fat Baby, Fontana’s, The Annex

The band consists of a guitarist/singer, another guitarist, bassist and drummer. They are all fun, outgoing, very hard working guys. They are also sound engineers, video editors, graphic artists, photographers…

TTC has one core philosophy, they are all friends, they love and believe in the music that they play and they all know and are involved in where there band is going.

You can see hear the band’s music, videos and bio at myspace.com/transcendthecore, or ourstage.com/fanclub/transcendthecore.

Please contact Carlos at the email address transcendthecore@gmail.com with any questions and for more information.

Please understand what you are getting involved in, Transcend the Core is active and is looking for someone who can be involved and committed to playing music in the fast paced New York scene. Be ready to have fun and fulfill the rock and roll dream.
