About Me

I'm the director who made the film Afro-Punk. So you could say this whole thing is my baby. I cant take all the credit though. My bro, Matthew Morgan, is the man behind most of what afro-punk the movement has become. All the big shows and this nice new site glory should go to him. If you have questions about getting on a show or anything email him Matthew@afropunk.com. I don't book bands.

Anyway yeah I make movies and stuff. I write, edit, direct... Um I guess I kind of like to be part of the whole process. You can watch the trailers for my films in the movie section of this afropunk.com website. Please explore.
You can be my friend if...
... you're a nice person then it's on. I love hanging out but 24 hours just isn't enough for one day. My best friends are often time people I can make art with.

Nothing but Hawaiian shirts and colorful “Jams” hung from my hangers. For awhile people actually believed the hype. I walked the playground w… Continue

Attention Black Bike Riders.
(and to the non black riders, please tell your black friends, solidarity helps us all)

Ever been on one of the many organized bike rides in LA, seen another black person and thought "Would it be weird If I say hi?".

It isn't weird, and you should say hi. This is your chance.

I'm pleased to announce the FREEDOM RIDES. This one is for the brothers and sisters.

Afropunk on MTV

Hey gang,
I'm sure someone else might mention this but I just got word afro-punk has been featured on MTV. It's actually a really great and accurate review of the scene, where it came from and where its going. Check it out.

This isn't the first time Afr0-Punk has got some love from MTV though. Check out this commercial from two years ago.
