There's only a handful out there worth reading. And you can tell their direction from their title. Then there's a chronicle of his letters FROM prison. And the "At Home with the Marquis de Sade: A Life" by Francine Du Plessix-Grey is probably the best since it's not just his exploits but a total view of what made him what he was.

Look him up, he's a pretty interesting criminal. His "crimes" are also great masturbation fodder like anything else from that debauched era in France. And of course his legendary mommy issues that obviously fueled the nature of his relations with women.
