Born in Denver,CO 1968 from jr high till I was 19 years old I ran about in the local punk/skin/goth and various cultures moved on to dance music by 20 which occupies much of my head space to date . I have honestly not used the dub Punk to describe myself since I was a teen , I've been dubbed the Junglist the last 15 and for general adult conversational purposes simply describe myself as avant .

Konkrete Jungle beginning in 1994 has served as a foundation for New York cities jungle drum and bass community for the last 15 years and is the longest running jungle drum and bass weekly world wide, Konkrete Jungle a jungles institution has branched out to 8 countries and 29 cities state side as a brand.

In 97 Cassien temporarily vacated his Konkrete residents to partnered with Cliff Cho "dj Seoul" and become one half founder Catalyst/co-producer and resident dj for Direct Drive a jungle drum and bass promotion focused on the 21 + crowd . Direct Drive crews stellar Saturday weekly at Baktun and all ages one off events would establish the promotion as the leading 21 and over weekly dance for Jungle drum and bass in Manhattan .

Some of Cassiens former sound affiliation Shaolin Fist along side selectors Dara, Delmar and King Panik the original konkrete jungle line up and most notable Survival Crew with protégé Human and Tuffist New York's Premier classic jungle breaks and ragga crew.

An every day Jungles culture champion Cassien a king in the jungle. Cassien the bubblers choice noted for his dynamic masterful mix and blend “a mixologist” and an impeccable selection of classic and upfront jungle /ragga breaks and Hard step D&B and Dubstep is most sure to get call for the haul up pull up big forward from the dance floor. Cassien has toured extensively over the years stateside and abroad Germany, Canada, north, south, east and west of the states. A full-page write up in Trace magazine title will the Real Hero of NY jungle drum and bass please stand up.

Cassien has played NY cites most infamous night clubs one part tag team with dj Delmar 1st n.y. Jungle dj's to play the Twilo sound system this was the 1st installment of Planet V events Brian Gee, Jumping Jack Frost , Roni Size and Krust. Lime light, the Tunnel , The Roxy, Save the Robots after hrs, Nells, Club speed, The Shelter, Wetlands , Conney Island Hi, Centrofly , Soundlab events , Brooklyn Anchorage and several Ps1 Summer Festivals .
