I was at the Blackest of the Black show in Philly. It was incredible and I saw Danzig for the first time in my life. Great show, but Dimmu had such questionable imagery all through the projection screens in the Electric Factory. They try too hard to…

About Me
I am a 27 year old black (Haitian-American) man with short dreads who likes to listen to metal/goth/techno and generally rock and roll. That tells you how much I fit in. I'm divorced and presently living and attending college in the middle of shits-ville until I can move. I'm looking for friends and relationships that have more in common with being black and not fitting into the stereotypical hip hop image that is all over and so alienating for people that don't fit into that sort of thing.
You can be my friend if...
you're open-minded

Mosaic of random experiences

Man, i didn't get to go to the festival. It's a damn shame, because it looked fun and quite eclectic. The pictures looked engaging and this time i'm going to save enough has money to get to nyc next year. Hello, Afropunk 2010!

up and atom

Okay. I'm beginning to get to the point where I can say that I am okay now. I'm still not too happy about having a hard time with women, but I'm not completely down and out about it as I have been for a long time. Whatever, it's time for me to talk about something new.

I can't wait to attend that Afropunk Festival that's coming up in a month. It's a drive and a half, but it's worth it. I haven't been to NYC in years...YEARS. It's going to be weird trying to drive there. Wow, home of the double-… Continue

Never Alone and Overcome

I wanna add the lyrics to Terror's song, "Never Alone" and "Overcome" because I'm totally feeling them today.

Never Alone
-----------------------

Hold on to and value the love you find in this world. For many will never know how it feels.

Never alone.
You've got to know.
Know.
Your never alone.
So lost in these days, when there's nothing to believe.
I couldn't see, couldn't breath.
I turned my back on everything.
All my will, all my drive, put you to the test.
When all that you love, all th… Continue

another day in quicksand

Goddamn it, I just lost a whole blog worth of stuff I was typing up. This is another reason why I hate technology. You type up something a paragraph or two long and it gets deleted by the piece of shit computer. My written journal pages in my notebook don't delete themselves like this fucking system does to my online entries. I also had a whole essay-worth of stuff written in my notebook for midnigght this morning that I forgot to take with it to this morning's psychiatry appointment. I wrote th… Continue

Sunday cleaning of the soul and perception

Right this second, I'm listening to Subzero- Lionhearted----again. Now every time I get online I have to play that. usually I'm listen to a LOT of metal, but I'm beginning to love the lyrics that come from hardcore music. It's waaay more positive, like "you can do it" or "you can get back up from getting down" or "when all fails- diy!" My favorite lyrics are "don't compromise your life for any single one, you never know when your time is gonna come." I immediate have started to smile upon hearin… Continue

CHANGE HAS COME
WWW.JETFUELFORREVOLUTION.COM

WE ARE EVERYWHERE
IN THE DNA OF MANY NATIONS
AND WE MAKE THE PLANET ROCK
GIVE IT THAT COOL TILT ON ITS ROTATION
WE RUN CORPORATIONS
WE RUN THE STREETS
WE RUN POPULAR CULTURE
WE ARE BIGGER THAN YOU HATERS
AND THIS MOMENT IN HISTORY
IS BIGGER THAN US
YOU NEED TO BE DOWN
AND BECOME LOVERS
BECAUSE LOVE IS STRONGER THAN HATE
DIDN'T YOU SEE "DO THE RIGHT THING"?
HATE....KNOCKED OUT BY LOVE
IT'S A PAINT THE WHITE HOUSE PARTY
AND YOU ARE INVITED
IMAGINE THE COLORS
IMAGINE THEM RUNNING
BLEEDING TOGETHER
THE WAY WE BLEED TOGETHER
IN WAR
BLEEDING FROM THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A NEW WHITE HOUSE
AND NOT THE DESTRUCTION
OF US ALL
OBAMA-VISION IS ON
WATCH IT AND DON'T BLINK
YOU WILL SEE THE PAST
AND THE LESSONS IT'S TAUGHT US
YOU WILL SEE THE PRESENT
AND WHAT IT HAS WROUGHT US
AND YOU WILL SEE THE FUTURE
AND US DANCING IN THE DISTANCE
DANCE WITH US
TO THE RHYTHM
OF A NEW HEARTBEAT!

FINALLY, A DEFINITE ALTERNATIVE!

ARE YOU DOWN?
