About Me
I am Marla Turner, former lead singer of Wax Poetic. I have numerous albums out including a compilation with Grammy winner, Norah Jones, Saul Williams, N'Dea Davenport, and Grammy nominated Brazilian Girls.

My song Beauty is on the soundtrack of L.L. Cool J's movie Slow Burn, it is also on my full length album entitled, Wax Poetic Copenhagen.

I have toured many countries (Switzerland, Colonge, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Turkey, London, Paris, Copenhagen, Belgium, Brazil) and many places in the US. I have also been on numerous radio stations including KCRW in Los Angeles, Vh1-video and in the papers.

I currently have my own band Freedom Rockstars in which I am the lead singer and l play guitar. We are a mixture of classic and industrial rock. We have been playing locally in the rock scene around New York for two years now.
