About Me
“I think our new record, ‘I am the Horn’, spreads the message of Dr. King – Have hope, wake up and be proud of who you are, this world and this country does not have to be a slave to governments or money-funded power. Have hope amidst a society designed to be hopeless. A positive revolution is what this country needs right now. One that says, ‘rely on yourself’. Do not put blind faith in your government or your God. We don't need a global government, which is what we are headed toward, but we do need to be united in humanity”, explains irRAdio’s woodwind player Steven Welker, providing incite as well as the literal element of the record’s metaphorical title.

From writing “socially conscious” concept records to collectively gathering in tepees for spiritual sweat lodges, irRAdio understands the value of enlightenment, and through their music, wants to share the idea of being proactively unified.

Having formed in 2001, with lead vocalist/guitarist Daniel Dasher currently being the only original member, irRAdio has gone through experiences that can be described as foundations for success. In the process of releasing two full-length records; touring the US, Canada, and Mexico; receiving song placement on The Discovery Channel and airplay across the globe; irRAdio were showing signs that their message will continue to be heard to a growing number of people. However, in 2006, after recording an album with two producing giants, Lester Camacho (Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac) and Alan Parsons (Pink Floyd, Beatles, Alan Parsons Project), the stress of major label politics took its toll and the members decided to go separate ways.

In 2008, the newest inception of irRAdio went into the studio with well known San Diego musician Mitch Wilson (No Knife) to record “I Am the Horn”. With its release, irRAdio hopes that it will embody the sincerity of a band that is attempting to convey a fresh outlook on music and its messages.
