Past lives include the following:

Computer repair guru, MMORPG addict, urban explorer, BBS SysOp, keyboard/synth player, science museum demonstrator
Favorite bands:
In pairs... The Pixies and Radiohead, Sigur Ros and Deerhunter, M83 and Underworld, Saul Williams and El-P, Joy Division and A Place to Bury Strangers, Baby Guts and Strut and Shock, Does It Offend You Yeah? and Miss Kittin, Stellar Vector and All the Pretty Horses, Ladytron and Crystal Castles, DJ Shadow and A Tribe Called Quest, Gospel Gossip and Maps of Norway, Björk and Santogold, P.O.S. and Atmosphere, Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine and ... Okay, okay. I'm done for now.
Favorite movies:
I should watch more. I've been inspired by so many. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Being John Malkovich for sure. The Big Lebowski and Fargo made me a little more Minnesotan. Lost in Translation was quietly touching. Run Lola Run is great. The Ghost in the Shell series and films present a fascinating sci-fi epic, I'm a bigger fan of the series than the movies. Flight of the Conchords gives me great joy. I'm also a sucker for biopics like Kinsey too.

My favorite DVDs are probably a collection of music videos by famous directors - the Michel Gondry and Mark Romanek discs are easily my favorites. I also enjoy the deep characters, vast epic story lines and rich visual treats of anime series like Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Read or Die, Beck and several others. FLCL is something all humans should experience once in their lifetimes.
Favorite books:
I'm reading more lately. Recently read Choke and enjoyed it quite a bit. I think Palahniuk had me sold when the first chapter told me that I'd find the book reprehensible (paraphrased). Just started on Sex, Drugs and Coca Puffs by Klosterman and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I've got alot of stuff on my list but I'm most likely to read things that I've been handed by friends.
Favorite Magazines:
I've been an avid reader of Wired Magazine for over a decade. I remember carrying it around in high school in the late 90's when everybody was afraid of the scary "internet". You might say that I appreciate futurism and irrational exuberance. I also read Scientific American (because it's got articles from actual investigators, unlike Popular Science - blech!) and Paste (because indie music needs a voice) pretty often.
Favorite TV shows:
Kill your television.
Relationship status:
Single
Orientation:
Straight
Zodiac Sign
Gemini
Kids?:
No, thank you.
Smoke/Drink?
no/yes
