Gracias. I think I messed up and posted tunes I like with no sense of humor or irony. First mistake this week! It was worth it to come across those Chick Corea clips......

Wasn't bad enough that we were in the top 100 dangerous cities, but the fact that you can't get a copy of Money magazine within the city limits is saying something. Damn. What were you thinking? If you are broke, stop making plans. Humble yoursel...

#20 A Beginner's Guide to Day Trading Online-Toni Turner

I'm still fascinated by the stock market. It has been a slightly tumultuous, interesting and (definitely) continuing learning process.

I have been through a few different phases where what I believe about the markets has changed. Random Walk, buy and hold, and other variations of the shot… Continue

#19 Slash's Autobiography-Slash and Anthony Bozzo

The siren song of this book tore me away from other books that I was trying to finish. It was really good, but very different from similar books I have read. Motley Crue were definitely addicts on the road to ruin, but due to the writing style, reading their book The Dirt had me cracking up page after page. Although there is plenty of humor contained within, Slash's book paints a much starker pic of this dude's nearly wasted life.

Slash grew up in Hollywood, the son of parents that worked in th… Continue

#18 No Angel by Jay Dobyns

This was a fast and interesting read. It is a first person account of an ATF agent that tries to infiltrate the Arizona Hells Angels. The ATF went to surprising lengths to make this happen, including forming their own chapter of an actual club, staging arms deals, loanshark type collections and even a simulated murder of an HA rival. google "operation black biscuit" if you want to read some accounts of the case. Along the way, Dobyns is very candid about how the pull of the outlaw lifestyle slow… Continue

#20 Evolution of a Cro Magnon-John Joseph

This is a good book in the vein of Reymundo Sanchez' My Bloody Life. Definitely engaging, definitely NC-17. This is the autobiography of a guy best known for singing in the Cro Mags, a seminal hardcore band. The book definitely gave me a range of emotions. Reading about Joseph's abusive foster care experiences made me shed a few tears. There is still humor woven through these parts, but after a minute you realize you are reading about a 10 year old kid stealing food, and sneaking and lying to pl… Continue

#19 White Line Fever-The Autobiography of Lemmy

Lemmy details his life from childhood through the middle of this decade and regales you with plenty of tales of prodigious drug abuse, womanizing, sketchy record company dealings, and road stories worthy of Spinal Tap. If you know who Lemmy is, you can probably guess what an entertaining read this was. A few times I stopped reading to literally laugh out loud. This would make for a great audiobook or travel read.

And I am about to start basting Hat #4 which looks crazy and insane in loud plaid fabric but I have to learn 3 or 4 more berets. It is my goal to get through an entire one by myself without having to ask the teacher a goddamn thing. And then move on to making the next more complex one and do the same thing. Onward and Millinerward!

Good lookin out! I caught some of the Osaka footage. :) I've slowly been weening myself off mos lately, seeing as: a) it ain't gonna happen, and b) my 'somebody' has made me forget about him, and conveniently, they look a lot alike haha.

Phillips is AWESOME. Adams and Crenshaw is the one I've been too, but the other two locations in Leimert Park and the one in IngleWatts are run by the same people. The sliced beef is my favorite!! YUM!!

I like what you say below in the caption of that picture with the dog suckling the baby tiger cubs: "The situation is never ideal. Start where you Are." Omigod, that is SO true for ME. It's a struggle but I have to keep on going!! I slow down I speed up but I keep going forward. One day my internal clock motor will all of a sudden go "oh, I got gasoline in here and her brain knows what to do with it!" and VROOM, I won't be so slow and timid anymore. Plugging through I finished hat number 3, dude, and am to cut out hat number 4 for my neighbor who liked both hat number 2 and 3. Wish me luck Brother!!

I've always said "we're just children pretending to be GODs" ie; there's no "knowing" just admitting that your wrong with a smile a finger. And comon, lemons are the shit.......what were y9ou talking about anyways? Lemons were in the trees, the mists, the general foreground, what did y9ou really mean with that?
