About Me
I'm an "OBP"--Original Black Punker. I've been rock'n the AfroPunk scene since high school when the P-Funk Mothership landed. But I bowed down to the sound when the Bus Boys, Fishbone, Living Colour rip'd da' ruf off in the '80's.
I'm originally from Chicago, and currently live in Urbana raising a new generation of AfroPunker--my sun (no typo) is 18 yrs. old, loves that his Ma is hardcore nappy weird--and giving him the opportunity to live a life less ordinary. We are always on the ear out for new sounds and visions that make us want to rock our heads and stimulate the brain. So if ya' see us at a concert, step up 'n share a beer and a head-bang.
You can be my friend if...
If ya' like loud, earsplit'n, in yo' face punk by sista's 'n brotha's who carry the word, we can hang.
