I've been wonderin' where all the plus, plush ladies of Afro-Punk have been. Even though Afro -Punk is ALL ACCEPTING of artists left of center (which I love) I STILL feel that the PLUS members of AP are NOT represented well. Come out, come out wherever you are !!!!!!

Last night, I went dancing. I had a blast. I felt pretty good about how I looked. I didn't even have my girls all out for sharing. But, I did show off the bootay pretty well with a tight skirt. I thought about Aretha Franklin's performance last night at the tribute to Nelson Mandela. She is a big woman, as you all know. That sista rocked that blue sequined dress with confidence and blew that audience away with her talent. She sang, yall! I'm feeling so confident with my body image. Soooo many skinny women, mostly White, were in that club. All I felt was solidarity with my non-thick party goers. I'm coo just like this. I'm thick!

I don't know Beth Ditto's line. But Mia's is Revolution 1228. You can go to her website revolution1228.com. I have her t-shirt...it feels lovely and it hits just right...must go to website.

Hey, CurvyDivaJC, do you have the name of the website that's featuring Mia Tyler and Beth Ditto's clothing lines? I'd love to check it out.

Did anyone hear that Beth Ditto is coming out with a new clothing line? I know Mia Tyler is as well. Tyler's is called Revolution 12-28. They have some samples on the website. It is still in its baby stage.

Hey Fam!

I feel you Ro. I'm focusing on not being skinny but being healthy and feeling and looking good in my own skin. If I wake up everyday refreshed with energy and I have the stamina to keep up with and do many activities to enjoy my life...I'm good.

CA what you said about celebrating yourself NOW is KEY ONE for me.
I have to make myself feel better about me RIGHT NOW to motivate me to EXERCISE. Seriously, I got my hair done last Friday and you know what? I can feel the urge to start exercising. :) I'm gonna feel good!
