What FUN! That Hootenanny sounds great, I've seen Reverend Horton Heat 3 times in the past 10 years and they are TIGHT and ROCKIN!! Great band and great songs and The Reverend is HILARIOUS. Love Los Lobos and Horrorpops too!! I grew up late teens listening to that Lobos first album over and over again. I remember my moms was smiling because they had a couple of old texmex Santiago Jimenez songs on that album. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is pretty good but frankly, they should have Royal Crown Revue or BR49 (are they still together?). Cause THOSE TWO bands are AMAZING musicians and singers!! But I do understand that BBVD are more popular because those movie appearances and stuff like that.

and say what? THE BLASTERS????? YOU MEAN PHIL AND ALVIN GONNA BE UP ONSTAGE????? OMIGOD!!!!!
They are DAMN good live too!! And the LEGEND: LEE ROCKER!!!!! When are they gonna have Wanda Jackson on the lineup? I heard she was still doing shows at least a few years ago!!

There's a couple Latin psychobilly type bands they should have on there too, Calavera is GREAT FUN!!
I suppose if the Hootenanny added all the bands I'm suggesting (cause I just thought of two more, Jack Mack & The Heart Attack and Big Sandy & The Fly Rite Boys), they'd have to add another day. ;) wink wink !!

Yes ma'am! They say the.. THEE blasters are in town (I gotta see it to believe it!) Can't go wrong with that at all right? I'm sure Wanda Jackson'll make it on the Hootenanny list sometime here. Think she's been already - not sure.

Now that you mention it Rosenda, I am SURPRISED to not see Calavera up there. I was crossing my fingers for Calabrese or The Quakes =[[ no luck. However, Rev., along with Horrorpops and Nekromantix are on schedule to play on the 4th at the Hoote. Fireworks will be poppin' for damn sure, haha!
