ooohhh Zel, girl you are on point! i can't just let anybody carve stuff into my skin?! for reals- and don't go crazy gettin' tatoos just to be getting a tatoo. take time to think about it good and imagine yourself at diff. stages in your life, w/ a lifetime partner, pregnant, wrinkled- you gotta think about ALL that. very good point.
@celia- i went there friday briefly and i have Malcom Andres' email...thanks. not finalized anything. and you are on point too about the person and what the tat is. so loving big, bold tribal patterns- and yes, there's something about tatoos on the side of the neck...double sigh.... ; )

I especially appreciate the craft behind it. Meaning did the person take the time to talk/interview the tattoo artist and learn the artists experience (esp. their experience with brown skin) - this lends to the success of the tattoo. don't just get some flash pinned into you by a dude that doesn't know the limits of your skin- take pride in the permanent art that you are buying, take care of it. When I can see someone does that I appreciate them and their tattoos more.
