As the awareness of afro-alternative beauty gains a growing appreciation in the mainstream, legit opportunities will present themselves. Films will seek fresh faces and musical tracks, indie runways and magazines will seek alternative models. The aim of SpikedNectar is to celebrate alternative beauty, find a way to weed through the opportunists by sharing worthy ventures, and provide a spot in this Afropunk group where media creators know they can look for alternative creatives and subjects.

Alternative Personas, Models, and Artisans, celebrate and network amongst yourselves. Post gigs, favorite alternative personas, your DIY fashion editorials, and that sort of thing. Some of these may receive extra exposure at the blog (see above).

This group is focused on POC, but welcomes some of the fly items such as pix, tracks and etc from other alternative minds.
