Afro-punk

I don't know if I should tell people to stop calling me ma'am. I want to choke them. On the plus side my daughter's friend asked if I was her sister or cousin when I surprised her at school one day..that should get me back some hand holding right? Right?! LOL. I never thought I'd be considered an 'uncool' mom. Seriously. Not that I'm the party/lets drink/talk about men mom but I never thought I'd be shunned lol. How have you obviously cool/unique/different (not the norm) parents with tween-teen-grown children dealt with this phase?

I haven't gone through this phase yet... My 5 year old is still attached to my hip.... But... I expect to be the "uncool" parent at some point. It's a natural phase, lol. She'll come full circle again...

Just continue to be there for her.. to support her... and to love her.... and to be active in her life... even if it is unappreciated.

I see you posted this in February... Any luck since then?
