Afro-punk

Got it the other day & have only heard the Bria Valente & up to track 7 on LF. Just off-hand I like it a lot more than Musicology (which was just.. ahh-ight to me), but not as much as The Rainbow Children which I loved!!! BV kinda sounds a bit like Aaliyah & @ times like Miriah Carey (when she not doing that annoying assed wanna be Minnie thang & has a decent producer).. Wow, did I just complement MC? lol

Your thoughts, please!!

My dad has a copy. I haven't heard it but, a man that I consider an uncle said it's probably going to be 90% crap and 10% genius.

I haven't heard any of it yet, but no doubt I will check it out. I find that multi-disc releases tend to be overly ambitious: rather than polish a moderate number of compositions, some artists put out several mediocre ones--yes, even Prince.

Just my .02...

Yeah, Starla you dont sound like the typical Prince fan.... i.e. rabid!! lol I jumped in on a discussion on my college alumni page that compared Prince to Michael Jackson... I said that MJ was a much more 'consistent' artist than Prince. Man, I got a cyber-beatdown for daring to speak against the purple one in such a disrespectful manner!!! :-Q.. Needless to say, it was ALL women who tonguelashed me for this.. lol

I will probably still get grief for my remarks if I show up @ the reunion this summer.. ;-)
