Fellow artists there is an open mic on Wednesdays at the Five Spot in Brooklyn starts at 10p and goes to around 2a. You get to rock with a live band whether you sing, rhyme, or spit poetry. I'm usually there every week and would love to connect with fellow afro-punk artists and support one another's craft. Hope to see you there!
