As for the v05 to co wash, I loved it but I upgraded to Dr Bronners castille hemp peppermint soap. Its 100% veagn, has 18 different uses, and makes my hair really soft and clean. There is also a generic version of this called Dr organics which works great too. African black soap also gives the same results and leaves your hair super soft. I forgot to mention I rinse the conditioner out with cold water. It makes a tremendous difference.

I do the overnight conditioning every two weeks when im not wearing braids. I use EVOO, egg, mayo, honey, cayene pepper, lemon juice, cocnut oil, and a little bit of cholesterol mixed with nexxus humectress. Its a lot but my hair is in optimal health and I attribute it all to my use of this and protective styling. As for the gel I used eco styler protein gel with a leave in when my hair was shorter ( pics on my fotki page, year two album). It made my hair crunchy and lke Starla said if you have different textures which I do, expect many differnt results.

I wonder what hair likes to eat...... fires , or a hamburger?

@CurlyDiva- no, i haven't done an overnight conditioning treatment like that. I HAVE mixed some olive oil into regular conditioner in a bowl and applied it after a shampoo. When I had a relaxer, I think I tried using mayo as a conditioner and I hated it. It was too runny and didn't really provide much slip.

as for the gel, I saw a youtube clip on that. The lady took tiny little clumps of hair and combed through it with the gel. Not only is that very time consuming, but it wouldn't work very well for me due to my hair being different textures in some areas.

Does anyone else do the egg, mayo and olive oil overnight conditioning process? Does anyone do gel to help elongate curls? Use V05 to co-wash? Found a new youtube natural channel...just some things she does... If you do any of these things, do they work for you? Trying the egg, mayo and olive oil tonight.

Starla, you did yours much better than I've done by myself.

I just realized I need a hooded dryer. Sad thing is my mom used to have one but gave it to my cuz after I said I didn't want it.

Yeah I did it myself. I'm already thinking about my next low maintenance natural style! Maybe something like a stretched out fro, pulled back into a puff with a big, bushy fall attached? I've looked all over for a drawstring phony pony that's nappy, but to no avail. Perhaps I should make my own.

@ Starla ~ good job! You did it yourself right? You are so much better than me!!

These are the braids that I did the other day. I should have left the ends straight instead of using perm rods and hot water. I'm primarily wearing them in a low side bun.
