I ended up shaving the other side of my ehad. I have a freestanding mohawk. I dyed it red today. It was suppose to come out super bright, but turned out a little dark. but you can still see it well so it's cool.

idunno, I'd just do some two strand braids and then take them out. but that's me and I've never had an actual mohawk before.

Does anyone know how to create a deathawk with kinky/coarse hair(I blow dry it straight with a blow dryer straightener, but it's still frizzy at the roots.)? Or would you advise me to get a deathawk hair piece, instead. Any suggestions are welcome.

@ Blac, yeah I did a few times when I was about age 17-21 for shit like the real thin "fan" look, but aside from all the barbershop looks, I done had just about every variation I could think of

@ Nadia, I usually got mine pretty close on the sides cause I always had scalp psoriasis, make it easy ta use the medicated soap on my scalp & shit...for now I plan on lettin it grow & gettin it dreaded when it's about 4-5 inches longer. ...you're right a thin one is a lot less work ta keep up

I think i'm gonna get my mohawk shaved on the sides. So i'll be bald on the sides with the middle sticking up, until the sides grow back in. Well the right side has grown back in a little. I might not shave the left side all the way down. I'm gonna rebleach my hair so I can get a reall bright blue or green. I didn't bleach it enough the first time, which is why the ends came out brighter than the rest of my hair. Working with a small portion of hair will definitely make it more manageable.

I like that Blac the pentagram on the side thats slick

Yeah Nadia...I'm wonderin if maybe somma the tribes who used ta make up the "Morrish Empire" back in the day kept that tradition even 100s of years after they split up & ended up on opposite sides of the world, who knows.

as far as Native Americans the most popular tribe is the original Iroquois. I forget if the women ever had em in that tribe (which turned into a whole umbrella/federation of tribes called the Iroquois Nation), but the warriors shaved up mohawks & covered thier bodies w/ red ochre to distract the enemy in combat.

I knew the mohawk had Native American roots... But I never guessed African. You learn something new every day.
