greetings everyone. somewhat new to the forum front, but i'm getting the gist bit by bit. my name is Andrew (my friends call me Drew). i'm a student and aspiring writer from LA. i stumbled upon AP a ways back, and fell upon this particular group recently. basically i'm just putting forth an outward effort to connect with like minded people who are into the same kind of junk. IE: writing poetry, novels, lyrics, etc etc. anyways, anyone semi-interested check out my page and don't be apprehensive about dropping a line. i post work there fairly often and i'm always open to criticize/feedback. so yeah, thanks everyone. late (=

KROQ presents Divisible at Spaceland, Monday night, free! Nico Vega is DJ'ing, and Saint Motel is the resident band. They have set the theme for the evening as "Erotic." Use that information however you like...

- Divisible (CD Release Party)
- Saint Motel
- Astra Heights
-The Black & White Years (from Austin)

-DJ Set by NICO VEGA!

Finally! Less Than Lion is here, and we want to celebrate with you!

We couldn't work so hard on the record and not release it in style...so we're doing it up: special guests, new videos, at a great club, and for free.

The venue: Spaceland, on their famous free Monday nights. We're the early band, so we're playing at 9pm. The doors open at 8:30, and may we suggest arriving early so that you don't have to fight for a parking spot. Monday nights fill up fast, and the early birds definitely get the worm on Silverlake Blvd.

The guests: Mindy from Five O'Clock Somewhere, Alicia from The All-Girl Boys Choir, Steven Frazier, Heather from Kissing Cousins, Jacqueline from Wait.Think.Fast, and Josh and Noah from Oliver Future. So fun!

The goods: We'll have Less Than Lion for sale, as well as the Remix EP, the Alchemy EP, and some great new American Apparel t-shirts. And brand new buttons and stickers free with every record. If you're not in LA, sorry you have to miss it...but you can check out our online store (http://www.divisiblemusic.com/store.html).

We can't wait to share our record with each and every one of you!

Hey Everbody, Check out my new solo track by clicking the pic and add me! It should be on Afropunk, too. But it looks like it's taking some time to upload.

JOB ALERT!!!

PRE-ELECTRICAL CRAFT HELPER CLASS

The Department of Water & Power and Los Angeles Trade Technical College are co-sponsoring a semester length class in Pre-Electrical Craft Helper training (Course ECONMT 101). The Class will meet once a week and you can attend a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening.

Here's the link - http://www.lattc.edu/dept/tcot/crafthelper.htm

DWP is hiring for this position - you HAVE to take the class to take the test. You pass the test, you have a very high possibilty of getting hired.

The craft helper position is the entry level position to DWP trades jobs. You start off as an exempt worker - meaning no benefits, BUT starting salary is $46hr.

If you're interested, get there early, very early, bring a chair, some water and lunch. Last time the class was offered there was a long line and LAPD had to keep the peace.

This is how my cousin started his career at DWP. He is one of only 6 Black electrical linemen that work there - he makes a good six figure salary with just a high school diploma.

Sorry for the short notice - I just got the heads up today.
