Hey,

Just wanted to extend an invite to be apart of "Fashion For RAINN" (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network). The link to the website is posted below. If you would like to be involved please contact Lindsay Rae Frumar and mention that "Lucky" of The J.U.S. Evolution sent you and she will take care of you right away. Not only is this a national campaign for a great cause but it will be free publicity for you. The photos will appear in Bloomingdales all over the US! Hope to hear from you soon. Rock on!

Note: They are looking for singers, songwriters, artist, photographers, writers, bloggers, musicians, models... Etc. All are welcome! All you need to donate and invest is time!

Griffith Park sounds good. Hard to do a whole lot of talking at a show. Saturdays are the best day for me.

the 2nd or 3rd weekend of february works for me or next sunday! what's everyone else thinkin?
¡sTonE! Comment by ¡sTonE! on January 13, 2009 at 6:23pm
yeah, I actually looked in to the details and I got both the dates and the cost of the shows I mentioned horribly wrong!
1. Sherman Alexie will be there on february 26th. it turns out that it is not free...(boo!) and cost $20 general admission, $10 USC students

2.Julieta Venegas is on feb 12th same pricing as above.

Sorry for the misinformation! Let's have a get to know people party!
RollCall? and Which weekends are best?

hey thanks for posting! I didn't know Sherman Alexie was going to be at USC, I love his books. I've read 2 and I'm working on a 3rd one now. Also I still need to get my arse to Soulside! I'm on their myspace though so I'll check for updates. Keep me posted if the picnic in griffith park happens, I'll bring a pinata and pie!

I challenge people other than the dudes promoting a NYC show (J.U.S. Revolution), Rosie and Blaqvenus to respond sometime under 2 weeks! I haven't met some of y'all that have gotten together in the past and really want to start doing something.

Roosie!!!
Great to hear from you. Happy New Year! Hey, I finally saw "Kung-Fu Hustle" (I know...I HAVE been hiding under a rock for a few...*gulp* years, but I get the full tilt of your avatar). Love you as always, I'll call soon. Soulside is the shit!!!

Fais do-do Soulside was last saturday 1/10 so we have 4 weeks until the next one. That'll be cool. I have a shite load of shows coming (not all Police & Thieves either) that I'll tell everyone about but I wanna be part of the action!!! Fais Do-do is cool.

Oh! There are 2 events @ USC that I believe are free (even to the public...I'll confirm later)

1. Sherman Alexie - Writer, Feb 21: Not a party good time, but nonetheless a very talented and witty Native American writer speaking on campus
2. Julieta Venegas Feb 26th - sHOW...concert

The next one is a shot in the dark, but how's about a good, ol fashioned picnic at Griffith Park ? Someone has to bring the boombox,
Rosenda Comment by Rosenda on January 13, 2009 at 2:31am
That would be fun. Stone is back? The Ghetto Dalai Lama!! (Insert old fashioned reverent Indian greeting bow here, dude!). Sorry I missed you while I was in PS. Rock on, bow down.

Where do you all wanna meet? Maybe a show or club next month?
I don't get out much I only know there is a fun northern soul/ska night near me once a month. I did go once and had fun even though I totally am old enough to be those kids parents. The tunes were funky and fun as hell.

Or how about a concert/show someplace? Anybody got some suggestions?
