Yeah, the fest although pretty loosely organized, did turn out to be a blast. Vilyl Gypsy was ridiculous. Two songs was certainly not enough for me. Gonna be watching out for them for sure. Had to leave before Cipher cuz I had to wake up at 5 for work the next day. Really bummed that I missed that. Other than that it was a blast. Let's keep the community out here strong, people! =)

The LA Punk Noir Festival was a helluva lotta fun! It was really cool getting to hang out with Jwyanza, Matt Mitchell and Orlando and sharing many, many laughs. Blaxmyth, Cipher, The Objex, The Outskirts and Vinyl Gypsy rocked the hell out. I just wish Vinyl Gypsy and Cipher had been allotted the time to play longer sets.

Info on events at Bar One can be found at http://www.myspace.com/bar1noho
The aggro guys aren't there every Friday but there's lots of other cool nights weekly and special events too.

I went to the LA Noir Punk Fest kick off at the address that Q gave on Saturday only to find nothing there. I went a little early (9:15 or 9:30) and there were no cars, no music, no faint rumblings at all. Did the event happen? Did anyone else go?
