I'm all about homemade pizzas now. It takes me maybe 15 minutes to make, including cook time. I try to keep some dough mix around and tomato paste.

I use garlic powder and milk when I make the crust. (The mix recipe just calls for water.) And today I added chili sauce and chipotle salsa with the usual tomato paste and water for the pizza sauce. Then I added jalapenos, onions, and some shredded cheese. Not the most exciting pizza I've ever made, but again, quick, easy, and super cheap. (I'm trying to document things like this on my food blog, but I suck at blogging: http://whatiliketoeat.blogspot.com/)

Bag of potatoes. Wash potatoes. Scrub potatoes. Poke holes all the way through for ventilation. Coat in oil. Salt. Bake. Eat. Add cottage cheese.

Bodybuilding forums are full of quick and cheap food fixes high in protein, low in sugar.

Egg whites, mixed with instant oat meal (or just oats), cinnamon and microwaved until cooked- yum!

Incredi-Beans:

soak some black or pinto beans over night (1 1/2 lb bag w/ 4 cups of water)

ingredients:

1/2 chopped up white onion
4 strips of turkey bacon (cooked) and minced
4-6 slices of cheddar cheese minced
salt
pepper
vinegar
that's it i think

take your drained beans and add them back to a pot with four cups of water. cook that on boiling for like an hour (test beans to make sure they smoosh).

When halfway smooshable, turn down to medium heat. Don't dump any water yet. There should still be some water in there that is floating above the beans.

Add some olive oil to a pan and make your onions toasty. Mix in the bacon. Add that mixture to your pot of beans.

Add a dash/swig of vinegar, pepper, salt and the cheese.

Let all of that cook til the water is gone and your beans are totally mooshable.

If you did this correctly, your beans will come out tasting like savory bits of bean/onion/cheese/bacon.

You can also sub fake bacon and cheese.

Those are Nashi pear, I call them Korean Pears, because they are the only fruit shops that carry them where I go. I would never had thought to do the fruit thing with them. they are too good to wait to cook to me.

A good soup recipe: this you probably should go buy these things but they are all cheap.

6 cups of any kind of vegetable or chicken broth (even just hot water with boullion powder or cubes is good here)
2 small bags of frozen peas
1 bunch of fresh mint
1/2 an onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped (or use 1 tsp of the already chopped kind in a jar)
2 tablespoon any kind of vegetable oil or butter

Warm the oil in a soup pan, sautee the onion and garlic til soft on medium heat, stir in the broth, stir in the frozen peas, simmer for 10-15 mins. Turn off heat and stir in the chopped fresh mint.

Puree it batches in a blender or in a food processor.
Serve hot. IT'S GOOD.

Thanks to whoever it was suggested this:

I finally tried that cooked fruit thing, cause I had a gang of those big gigantic pears from the Korean market (they are shaped like big huge apples) and bag of apples that I'd had awhile. I cut them up, put them in a pot with 1 cup of water, 1/2 cup of sugar, some sliced lemon peel, and a stick of cinnamon, and I cooked til they were all soft. YUMMY!
