hey everyone!

My mum is a jamaican woman, her father was mixed with black jamaican and east indian and her mother was a mix of black jamaican, chinese and scottish. Overall my mum looks like a mixture of chinese and east african with dark skin, quite a pretty sight i must say.lol

my dad is Polish- typical blonde/blue eyed look

its funny, loads of people say i look like my gran on my dads side (face shape, nose, cheekbones etc) who has slavic features but with brown skin and hints of mother i.e shape of my eyes, lips and dark hair/eyes.
Its just crazy how being mixed race plays on you physically when talking facial features, skintone, eyes and hair etc...its a great thing as a whole and so FRICKIN interesting to discuss!

just wondering if everyone feels connected with BOTH of their cultures or one more than the other?

I'm an affair baby as well, I still keep in touch with my dad's side of the family, but I'm definitely not as close to them as my mom's.
It's really interesting that someone in the thread inquired as to the longevity of inter-racial relationships. My boyfriend of 3 years happens to be Chinese and his parents are very traditional....and racist. They are definitely not happy that there son is involved with a black girl (nor were the happy about our 3 years of friendship prior to that), and they try to use my parents as an example that inter-racial relationships do not work, and it infuriates me.

Ghanaian dad, White Wisconsin mom. They got divorced when I was 16 - I'm curious to know, how many of your parents are still together???

I'm an affair baby, the rest of my siblings are thoroughbreds. Hahaha.
