I suppose our little group here on afropunk is good for now. In the future I would like to make a website and then get one of those free forum things. And then link it to the website. ^^

Hey here another resource

http://oktoberschilde.sanfranciscogothic.yuku.com

I like this one. Its great because, we can customize the hell out of it. got HTLM anyone? bb code and such. I am planning to develop my own page skin soon but better save that one for the weekend. I have a Halloween Party on the 24th to plan for. Plus Vernian Process will be having their record release party at Shadow Society, in Oakland this following thursday the 22nd. I am not a Steampunk but I know a few. ought to be fun.

yeah and then we need a consensus... I am starting to know how you feel. Well Just food for thought; Perhaps something like this:

" Its a Black thing..."

Too Much???

Anyone else?

Yeah, a catchphrase or signature common to all the sites so people can find it easier.

I'm totally at a loss for names or phrases- my creativity is fried.

To MissE: Yeah I hear yah, But that is MIle's point. getting a name out there, and exposure. I think many of our kind are a little shy perhaps, to come forward or are just busy folk. For instance, I found this blog, we are typing on, by complete accident. I am an Elder Goth, who has been a Goth pretty much, since before it was cool. But seldom used the net for gothy stuff save for clothes, or to find out what events were coming at the local clubs, and or concerts. I have a cadre I run with, but many have relocated, due to reasons of their own. Life , business, etc... So Imagine, the delight after so many years of sort of "being in the coffin" in a way (To barrow a phrase from True Blood ) as a Afro American Goth, finding out that there still is a good following of the sub-culture amongst the younger folk of our kind. However, keep in mind my pretties, we do still comprise, just a fraction of a percent of a group that is less then a single digit percent of the population. That is pretty special. But it is growing. :: Ok puts the soap box away ::

To MIle: Now you are talkin' ! Since you suggested a WEB Ring, shall we use a catch phrase in the title, so that people can search it easier? Some of the gang on the blog here had some pretty creative ideas. I guess I will tackle the ones I have mentioned and even see about Kulting up on Vf. As you can tell, I really like the idea of some fricken Unity, and some organization. Like the song says:

"Little Black Angel
As time goes by;
I want you fly ,
With wings held high."

~Little Black Angel/ Death in June~
I feel that you all are on the right track. It is so cool to meet others of a like mind, and even personally to feel a little validated, about the fact that we are not alone in our views. It is so easy to fall into the stereotypes. They that keep it," real" unto themselves, are most rare Indeed.

For all those out there from the most "Oh so gothic" to the most tini tiny, Baby Batz. Know that being a goth is not a phase. It is a life choice. And somewhere, out there, those that came before you are secretly smiling, under the gloom, that you have come along.

Maybe we should all each create separate sites (on blogspot, livejournal etc.,) or then unify them under one big umbrella site like a webring.
MissE Comment by MissE on October 11, 2009 at 6:06pm
I'd love it if it was on lj, but you'd have to pimp the hell out of it and continual flood it with posts as from what I've seen from all of other black alternative groups (including one I mod *hangs head*) they tend to die pretty quickly.

:: Chuckles at Mlle's comments " Or A Pride of Hungry Lions.

Hey! Perhaps you could try here too: http://www.gothic.net/boards/register.php

and for those with a more restricted internet diet. Try Some Circum Vitae at :
http://www.darknessembraced.com/vampire/

And are you doing a cult on VF? That is a great venue for exposure too.
Mlle d. Sade Comment by Mlle d. Sade on October 11, 2009 at 1:58am
It can also be on livejournal.

We have to attack the internet like a rabid wolf. *laughs maniacally*
