that in December there will be a go-go versus rock showdown somewhere in DC
has anyone else heard about this???
Because I want to see go-go get raped ass up.

Yo, this is pretty cool. I would definately like to see this go down. I have to say though, I think it would be a pretty tuff call to make depending on what bands were playing. Go-go crowds can sometimes feel like a revival when the band is really crankin'. I haven't seen that at rock shows too much. Either way it would be really intersting. It's ironic because GO-GO and hardcore have always run neck and neck in the d.c. underground scene. At some of the older venues just as the all ages hardcore shows were letting out the go-go crowd would be showin up to the same venue for a go-go show. it'd be interesting to see this tradition come full circle.

yea, dude. that's very true. And the whole problem is:
what kind of rock will they be playing??
if they play some watered down, Fall Out Boy, Green Day, pop punk type crap, go-go will probably take the win.
but if they play some hardcore, upbeat rock, something that we can mosh to(or at the very least move the fuck around)...
then, my friends, we've got a fucking competition.
