Our first afro-punk meet up was fun and tasty. It was great to meet each other in person. If others want to organize other meet ups/events, i'm game. A viewing of the afro-punk movie is in the future.
P.S. The Niggy Tardust/Living Colour show was amazing!!!

Represent your AP scene and score a free ticket to your city show!

Are you "in-the-know" when it comes to uncovering underground venues, alternative scenes, artists and other afro-punkers in your city? Do you think you have what it takes to live Afro-punk for a day?

Afro-punk is embarking on its first national tour and hitting a city near you. We're looking for volunteers in each city with first hand experience of what it truly means to embody the Afro-punk lifestyle - self-expressing, DIY, individualism, flair, creativity, alternative lifestyle and all things niche - for the first Afro-punk tour ever!

Here's what you can look forward to if selected:

- FREE TICKET to your city's Saul Williams - "The Niggy Tardust Experience" show
- T-shirt
- Back-stage access to meet the bands in your city
and much much more!!

So if you think you fit the bill, drop us an email with your name, e-mail, and phone number at whitney@afropunk.com describing yourself and why you think you are the afro-punker we need and are looking for!

Alright, let's do this, people. I don't know you, but I want to. I don't know what it would take to take to organize this but closer to the time messages will be sent and a rallying will happen. Look out for it.
