Time to Dance

The eerie music surrounds the air and fills it with such passion and grace.

The sound of useless chatter mixes in changing the atmosphere ever so slightly.

All of a sudden there is silence.

There they are…what everybody was waiting for.

The Couple.

The ones who turn around this charade of a party

They cue the musicians to keep on playing

And the music begins to flow into the air

But this time it’s swollen with less pretentiousness

And off they go initiating what was to come

They dance

And soon everyone stops what they are doing and dance as well

But The Couple is so much different

They are on a whole completely different level

To the point where every one else stops and gazes upon them

They move with such fluidity

As if they’ve been preparing for this moment

This very moment

The Couple bounces off each other with style

Encompassing every mood into their movements

Trusting each others instincts

The air around them was not the same as everyone else’s

They were in their own world

Dancing, spinning, talking, reminiscing, loving

Even when the music stopped

They kept on dancing with smiles on their face

Not noticing that everyone had left

Though who’s to say that they ever existed in the first place

At least in The Couple’s minds.

There’s a yell…

The Couple are released from their trance

And are transported back to their living room

Where the two children are trying to get their attention

It looks like the children want to join in

With smiles on their faces

How could The Couple refuse?

And as they dance the night away they wonder why

They never did it like this in the first place

The Couple becomes The Family

life's a little more than hectic
not mythical,
no, not at all
and not worth recounting
but in the moment it is
raw
unsurpassed by any
iambic tale
no matter how rich
the prose
no matter how
escapist and romantic
a diversion of delusion it is
it is quickly fleeting
from one moment to the next
one minute
it is stagnant
the other
it's, mercurial
it is, confusing
some things, we have
all figured out
ten years
in advance
but
weeks ahead
show
our eyes
betrayed our vision
showed us things
that were not there
or were
but like passersby
we chose to turn an eye, blind
to make mute our tongues,
to our indiscretions
to not voice our complaints,
but like scabs, pick at them
til they bleed

heres a poem I wrote when me and this girl had a huge fight at the beginning of our relationship~to be young again! lol

All My Words

There are so many things I can say to you.
But all my words mean nothing without you.
Oh yea you drive me crazy
Yea baby you keep my mind hazy.
You're my motivation for everything I do
Because everything I've was all for you.
All my words could make or break us
And every word affects and shapes us.
With you I gained a new love perspective
And I can't understand how you did this
...but I'm glad.
All my words sometimes hurt
And all my words are words of love
But don't take me seriously you I'm crazy baby.
But do take me seriously when I use all my words to my complete knowledge to simply only say:

I Love You

*can u believe how corny i am. i blogged this on MySpace at the time lol

For all of the stars

For all of those shining stars

For all of you who think you will never stop shining

Death is the equalizer

It does not only prey on the loser
It does not only prey on the faint of heart
It does not only prey on the pawn

And You

Are not immortal, my friend

And We

Are not bits of interstellar medium

And you are not as bright as you think you are

You're not the Big Bang
You're not a Supernova

one more and im done. this was my attempt at a prog song but it ended up being 2 poems

The King of Heart I: Broken Spades

sitting here without a thought in your mind
you can't avoid your responsibilities forever
but you would if you could, right?

escape into your inner most thoughts
past the cerebellum, through the frontal lobe
and hit that blind spot

are you dreaming?

is that you fading into the background?
no. but its a scary image
at this point you're barely breathing

who are you wonderful dreamer?
you don't belong here
GO AWAY!

what was that?

you look around but see nothing
is it all in your imagination?
whatever. just brush it off. keep on keeping on

all of a sudden you here something shatter
then the sound of broken glass
is someone coming?

this strange odor fills your nostrils
not quite sweet, not quite bitter
appealing yet repellent

FLASH!

you fall to the ground
confused and dazed you look up
and come face to face with...yourself

is it a mirror?
you raise your hand to it and you clasp hands
you're not terrified but what the hell?

the other you glows a malevolent color
its eyes shine a crimson red
you sense the malice its emitting

so begins the struggle!
where is that voice coming from?
it can't be from the other me...it didn't move

now you're scared.

RUN! save yourself you say
but you're frozen solid as if glue was holding you down
ESCAPE!

Your other self approaches
As it draws closer you writhe around
there's no way out

it's too late as your other self consumes you
avoid the pain
can you escape into your mind while in your mind...?

WAKE UP!!

you rise up dripped in your own sweat
looking around you seem bewildered
but you carry a most smug smile.

your head is pounding
is someone trying to get out?
you don't think so

it's his turn to take a run at life...

The King of Hearts II: Darkness

It's black
cold.
is it over for you?
no you're just tired
that's all
YAWN!
just relax that's all you need to do
waking up is the last thing you need to do
count those sheep...
electronic pulses are telling you
to move.
but you don't feel like it
life's easier if you delay it for awhile
...("what life?" you hear in your head)
no more nightmares
just total and utter
RELAXATION!!
something in your heart is poking you
but for now you'll brush it off
it's all about the Big Sleep right now
for now at least...

Shattered

Shattered dreams are the beginning of a shattered heart.
Scrambled memories of things we chose to forget,
Horrible feelings in our heart that have permanently set.

A shattered heart begets the shattered soul.
An uncontrollable anger takes over the mind,
and soon we all figure out what we left behind.

Shattered souls consume the shattered life.
As time forfeits nothing and remains constant,
We all soon realize that nothing's heaven sent.

A shattered life is considerably the worst fate.
No longer do we feel in complete control.
No longer can we feel as completed, as whole.

Everything shatters in the blink of an eye.
All we ever do is ask the question "why?".
All we ever do is raise our hands towards sky.
As if some divinity can fix our shattered lives.
In the end though we'll continue to fall.
Until everything that's shattered is nothing at all.
