I post mixes on the internet each month. Here's the latest post.....

Second Sundays - Sometimes it snows in April

Good People!

I'd like to thank all those that participated in any capacity during Black Future Month. Hans Rosling's discussion on poverty in the world dramatically demonstrated how black Africans have lagged behind the growth of the rest of the world in the areas of health, wealth, and infant mortality over the last 200 years. From that, I would generously extrapolate that Blacks throughout the diaspora, although in wealthier and healthier countries, still lag behind their countrymen in similar categories as the black African and potentially for similar reasons. Rosling's statistics don't really predict significant improvements for black Africa by 2050.

He ends however by saying that the impossible is possible. And we can use that sort of optimism to find solutions for our problems chart a favorable course for our destiny.

April's mix comes to you the day after the highly anticipated performance by Omar at Chicago's Double Door lounge. I hope the good vibes that I received from him are transferred through my mix to you. We caught a little bit of snow here on Sunday. So its true that sometimes it snows in April.

This month's mix is available at...
