Thanks marcus for the group, as i said before we need to start interacting we each other more, i hear of a lot of i can play this instrument or i can play that we need, to start forming bands locally and start the bands like what new york did and dc did in the eighties. We also need to start our own record label, or record a ep compaltion of the afro bands from chicago, we cant depend on new york. shit i got recording equiment mulitrack its not the best but lets do this thing. I hear a lot of talk but lets do it, remember DIY ethics. Marcus and Calvin you should be the face of this since you have the most experince with afro punk, hit me up people what you think!

Kemet I may have, but not sure. I got exposed 2 DEVO on Don Kirschnerz Rock Concert back in da 70z. One nite their program showcased sum of their videoz. At my young age I thought they were a nazi rock band, but I still liked them. lol

I did recently view a Ramonez show from dat period...

Not sure if there's a Musicians Wanted group on the Afro-Punk site. But I can see if I can create a sub-group or at least begin a discussion within this group. Thanks Charles.

Can't say that I've seen much live music this year - with the exception of Omar at the Double Door. Heard about Little Dragon the other day, but decided to watch the fight instead. When Afro Punks of Chicago first started we used to only have like 3 members and now there are 56. Glad to see everyone vibin together.

DUTY NOW FOR THE FUTURE!!!!!

Yo Eddie did you ever see them on SNL!?! I got a dvd of them @ Lalapalooza which is pretty darned good! DIdnt see Devo & never heard of Dir En Gray (Sounds like a DOS command... lol) I did see Little Dragon @ the Dble Door saturday night & ran into Tape Dek!!! That was 100% more AP folk (1)than @ the AP show of Saul Williams...

I didn't get to see Devo but I did see a guy in Walgreens wearing a Devo Hat last week. Makes sense now.

Dir En Grey? No. Im so far behind. Dat bein' said, anyone catch dat DEVO show last week? I wanna strangle myself 4 missing it! Ive been a fan since I was a freshman in high school. When I saw them perform on dat tv show Square Pegs dat did it 4 me. I went out and got all their recordz up 2 dat point and I even had dat yellow radiation suit! LOL
