Drag is for everyone! It doesn't have to be just about males pretending to be females. Have some fun decorating yourself elaborately in anything you want. Make up a character. Express yourself visually with your wardrobe, that is drag. After you've gotten all dressed up and need somewhere to go, come to Cabaret Cataplexy on the last Monday of the month at The Slipper Room 167 Orchard Street (lower east side NYC)! You'll be super appreciated there. The next one is March 30th! We love it when people come dressed up! It makes life so much more colorful and if you want to take it a step further and experiment with a performance idea you have in mind? Send us an email at cabaret.cataplexy@gmail.com.
Peace

What's good everyone? Thanks for the support and helping to spread the word about my event this past week. I am happy the event is over. Trucking it to Harlem from East NY is no joke on a Sunday. Anyways, I manage to raise a little funds to put on my women month event, "Fades of Black Womyn Film Showcase". The Event is happening March 26 at the Brecht Forum. We are honoring Black Hall of Fame Trinidadian Lesbian British Filmmaker , Campbell X hosted and performance by DJ Debbie. I finally got my website computer working and updating the site as we speak. You can purchase tickets online for $10 bucks.

About me, well... I am a writer, director, singing (but haven't sung in a while) and producer of Queer Black Cinema. Many people do not know I do my own films let alone sing but that is something I am looking to do more this year. ONce I am settle with something more "stable"( whatever that means) then I will have a more clear head to sing again. Right now I am just reflecting a lot, writing and documenting. I am a freelance director, FCP editor and videographer who appreciate the little things in life. I'm easy going and love to create. I'm evening working on a custom Cat & Dog clothes collections...lol. I guess that's it for now. Anyone looking to do their music video, reach out to me. I have great rates and I work with limited budgets. I also dub CD's & DVD's under my production company Our Stories Productions. Thats my two cents.

In Peace,
ab

Oh! I LOVE that show!
I seriously love make up and garish costumes- I wish I could be a drag queen. Love it! I watch the mini marathon on Logo every monday.

Kinda shamefully obsessed with RuPaul's Drag Race. Anyone else seen it?
