I love reading about my hometown. I'll check it out...

^ Reserving a copy of that one right now. Thanks jah.

You might enjoy this one, which is dense, somewhat wrongheaded ( at the end) but pretty informative.

A bunch of different books about women and strength training- most of them inaccurate in the expected places but some of them refreshingly honest. I wish more women would know that this is how you do everything you want to do with your body.

What it is by Lynda Barry ... a guide on how to write fiction or how to tap into that place where inspiration comes from... and it's got a bit of her personal history and how she started writing and drawing. :] It's very good--the inside front and back covers are scans of the cards of phrases that obviously helped in guiding her on organizing the book so I read through that first and it was neat discovering the ideas fleshed out as I went through the book. Good stuff... definitely on my to-buy list once i get settled somewhere with bookshelves. ha

My wife just finished it, and it's been the source of some lively discussion in the household. Definitely expect it to be the impetus for some forward-thinking changes.
