after watching True Life: I Hate My Tattoos on MTV i just wanted to hear people's view on the whole idea of lasering off tattoos or cover ups and ect.

personally i had 1 tattoo covered but it wasnt because of anything to deep it was jus because i felt the art work looked cheap and looked bad on my skin so i had it covered with higher quality art.

but i would NEVER get a tattoo removed. i treat my body art as a collage of me on my body. and i feel to remove them would be ruining what i'm going for.

I saw that episode and I thought each of those people were interesting.

1.The dude who was engaged needs to ask for his nuts back because his fiance was being a complete bitch at times. He use to be a tattoo artist and then quite to become a pizza man for her? Tattoo artist can make crazy bank especially if they are skilled.

2. The dude who was an alcoholic, he really needs to get some help. Getting tattted everytime you get fucked up is just crazy

3. Finally that girl who got the cover-up, that was really cool but I just lost all respect for her when not only did she take back the man who basically stole of her money but she also moved in with him. That was bananas.

After seeing that episode, I would most definetly never get a tattoo removed. I had already told myself when I was a kid to think hard about tattoos and what I was going to permanetly put on my body. My first tattoo I have some issues with but I think its because I have some resentment to what it means but thats my own personal eissues. I only have the two right now until about March but after watching that episdoe I am going to think real hard about the next tats.

OMG- I Saw that True Life.

The girl I could understand. The dude I could not. He had time to think before getting that tatt'd up. Did not understand him at all.
And he needed a girlfriend-ectomy. Leave her and find some chick who accepts you for you. Who changes something that was so apart of their life for some chick who can't tolerate it?

I still don't have a single tattoo because I'm waiting for the perfect idea.

Oh yeah and that girl is why I weep for womankind. So willing to put up with trash.

I think tattoo removal is disgraceful.

They're pictures that depict the story of one's life. Although some may have been mistakes; I feel they should be enhanced and not scarred away to be forgotten forever. I love each memory that has been put on my skin. I would never get any tattoo removed. Fuck regret, you only live once.

Tattoo removal is terrible. Have a firm decision stuck in your head before you make the choice.

1. If you are planning to get any manual type job(Office job, anything that's not construction, making you're own path, or you aren't planning on being and artist or musician) get your tats in good spots. If you think they won't profile you on your tats, hard ass baby boomers are still running companies. And your friend who says "They can't deny you a job for tats" they just can't tell you up front, you don't have to get the job, so they can lie about any reason.

2. It doesn't matter where you get them just don't get them in those show off spots(i.e, face, hand, wrist, neck). Both of mine are big as day, on my forearm and no one claims to ever see them, even in summer. They are easily covered by a long sleeve in, and people say "What about summer time" I doubt the building will not have AC.

3. Just be smart about them, don't get crap that it's to hard to commit to(boyfriends/Girlfriends, Movements, causes that end up failing) nothing you'll look at years from now and say, why. I have a cross, and straight edge, the cross is a bust because I'm Atheist now, but it gets a me a pass with Christians and makes people think I'm good, but I'm not beating my self over it to get it removed. Get meaningful shit, TO YOU! Don't go getting those Kanji tats, and don't go getting popular tattoos either. And be unique about it.

Some guy taught me that at my last job, he was so straight forward about it. I keep it with me now.

Gang tattoos can haunt you for life. If you've got 18th Street or Rolling 60s inked on your neck, and you decide you've had enough, you're going to want them removed or covered up. Some tats you might want erased...

For myself, no. Anyone else, do as you please. I don't regret any of mines, only maybe where I got them and the styles. Mines tell my story and they also keep me grounded in my roots. I LOVE the idea of adding to them, but no not ever taking them away. "Think before you ink" ... <3 it.
