--------------->RAVES! PUT IT OUT THERE!<-----------<3

We have a vent area to say what's eating us.

How about the stuff that goes right?

How about the stuff that inspires us?

No matter how small

It could be a great meal

Extra money on your paycheck

Found $20 on the sidewalk

Helped a little kid learn to tie their shoes...

whatever.

I called that shit, betch. Maybe you should listen to me more often. I pick up on things sometimes.
I'd sing Beau Brummel's "Laugh Laugh" but I don't want to make you feel bad. ...so I'll sing it in the dark instead.
So get out of my house and never talk to my daughter like that again!

I did my Slick Rick thing today and got 'fresh dressed, like a...' well, a couple grand bucks. I wanted to look decent for this cute clerk at a store my boy & I were visiting.

Well she wasn't there but on the street I ran into my ex that's engaged with two of her friends. I greeted her & them warmly and it was cool and I had on my favorite lady-catcher cologne. It was a pleasant meeting and wished her the best on her coming wedding. Her friends seemed impressed too.

So even though the other woman wasn't at the shop, it worked out better. I'm hoping she's thinking "he's doing good" and her friends are thinking "what made her break up with him?" ; >...

Man, there were EIGHT count them EIGHT different illegal super gigantic fireworks shows surrounding my block.
It was BEAUTIFUL. It went on from about 8:30 til around 1:00 AM. Maaaan, I LOVE that shit. It was the first time I didn't fucking care I live up in the hood and it's 11pm and yes, I am sitting on my front porch ALONE enjoying the hell out of those BEAUTIFUL MULTI COLORED fireworks. It was gorgeous. I noticed when the helicopter flew over our street about 9:30 the fireworks stopped for a second but then they continue full force about 5 seconds after the ghetto bird flew away. Hee hee.*

AP is my home.
AP is my family.

I met Vernon Reid. He talked about his feelings of anger. I told him (again) how important his music has meant to me. He spoke to my sun about continuing his sax playing. Such a wonderful man.

I met Malik Vassel. Damn, Malik. That's enough.

I met PolarVibez while we were in DC. Po is the coolest. I knew that we'd have fun hangin and we did.

CortneyCrime was the most gracious hostess for Omar Jr and me. I now have a younger sister and Omar has a new aunt. Cort game me her bed and she took the couch. AP love. She cooked for us and showed us Philly like most tourists wouldn't know anything about. I love her!

I met GhettoPunkRocker! Sketch IS AfroPunk. He's so damn down to Earth and sincere. Ghetto made going to DC a thrill.

I met BrotherKomrade! He is articaulate, soft-spoken, charming and my family! So nice to talk to him in person.

I met Daoud. He and I go way back, right? lol Absolutely incredible brotha. Daoud sounds just like he does on the boards: real!

I met KaosBlac, working his ass off! Even though he didn't know me, talking to him was like talking to family.

Zoser of Amul9 recognized me from the site! What? Really?

My whole vacation from Philly to DC to Philly to Brooklyn back to Philly has been nothing but AfroPunk love! I’m home.

If it's wrong to covet Colt Cabana, I don't want to be right.

Dolce & Gabana Pour Homme. I'm not a connoisseur yet but I'm expanding my repetoire. It's fresh and citrusy, I like it and the ladies all give it high marks.
Many of these high end designers haven't done much to catch my nostrils since my 80's wannabe GQ Drakkar Noir / Lagerfeld era. I was sleeping on Sephora; I was with a female friend and didn't know they sold men's scent's discounted. What? Now it's on. I actually got a decently fresh designer imitation from the dollar store which works good as a basic daily scent.

With the African 'indie' scents, I'm faithful to Sandalwood, Blue Nile, Somali Rose and some combos. There is one WMS (weapon of mass seduction) which has been my intimate signature since the late 80's.
In fact, here's my RAVE: I thought the company disappeared and it took me literally & figuratively years to find it and I'm estatic that I've found it now. Some may be up on it already. I can't reveal it here but if you really want to know, holla ; >...

(Yeah I know this is MAD metro; pardon the jack & excuse me / us hahahaaa)

I got to talk with a beautiflul young woman tonight. I love forward to talking to her again. I revealed something about myself which she can understand. I pray for her well-being, her success in school and confidence in herself that she is raising her sun well. I was touched by her openness and her sincere spirit.
