Afro-punk

Ok so imight be re creating a thread, but I did a search already and i dont remember this created (but if it is one, let me know and i can delete this ok?)Like in the old boards we had pages long of photos. Its pretty cool cuz you get to actually see what people look like as some folk on here dont have up actual photos of themselves. EItherway its fun cuz you can post random pictures, candids, posed, gradphotos, it doesnt really matter...
anyways, so ill startbelow

Nice pics Demetrius and Daoud and everyone. Khamila, I am gonna sock you for putting this thread up here, because it's been nagging me in the head. Mainly, because I don't care for how I look in photographs. Whatever, since I'm changing my life and not letting lame shit hold me in or hold me back anymore, I am gonna put my damn pictures up here even though I cringe to see them. Isnt' that a trip that you don't like your own photographs but other people really, really like them? I like how I look better in person, most of the time. You KNOW how we ladies are so picky on our looks. Enjoy!! Mila Monster!! :) :)

DUTY NOW FOR THE FUTURE! This makes me think of Devo. :)

Me and Gracie went to Soul Side at Fais Do Do. Northern Soul and Motown and Ska Ska! it was so much fun. Did I put a blog entry up about that night? Way fun.......especially about the skinhead kids getting in fisticuffs and Jerry Miller of the Untouchables toasting onstage about it afterwards.

This was on Labor Day. My friend Joyce painted my face all in gold glitter and green glitter with red and blue Amun Ra. Cute.
Thanks for taking my picture.

This is my sister Alva. And film star of the 30's, Herb Jeffrey. Yes, Jahluv, THAT Herb Jeffrey. I KNOW you know who he is, or at least you have heard of him. He was a trip! I think I told all about him one of my blog entries. So funny and very, very nice.

*Sigh.* I know I ought to like this. I did have fun that night! I see this picure and I see someone that don't look like what I feel inside like. Huh? Tee hee!

I put on that sari! Such pretty embroidery for Halloween.

And Denise did my hair last Friday!! So fun dressing up I want to go to the office like this just because I damn well feel like it everyday. :)

Yes Ms. R - I do know who the Bronze Buckaroo is! That's a great photo of him and your sister - to be honest, I didn't know he was still alive... I didn't know that Fais Do Do was still open - last time I was there my wife and I saw Medusa and her band.

Cute photo...
