Afro-punk

Due to the fact that I own and listen to very little Hip-Hop, the powers that be have decided to revoke my naming privileges. From this point forward, until such time I prove myself worthy of being Black, I am to be referred to as Jeff. You can call me other names, of course, folks have been calling me all kinds of names, but that's another story. So, to repeat, my name is no longer BlackJeff, just Jeff, until a can prove my Blackness. I will let you know when that is, but I wouldn't hold my breath, this my take a while.
Yours truly,
BlackJeff

The US (which in the case of NA's with casinos is a foreign government) government would still interfere and conservative groups would try to block you. Any time you try to get something, they'll try and take it away from you and give to some 1/16th white person.

I'd rather have a casino than a "black card", it seems to give more benefits

I'll take the casino also. I wouldn't mind taking little Johnny's college fund.

Already been there. Instead of wanting a casino why not build your own?

Even if someone is doing the exact same thing we complain about people doing on this very site in a political sense WHY bother anybody with it? Just build your own.

I wouldn't really want a black card, sounds restrictive. Are there asian cards? Japanese cards? Chinese cards? Vietnamese cards? Why were just have to be "black"? Why not "Domican cards" or "Ghanian cards" or "Nigerian cards". .. .."Ofuskee cards". .. . I did have a Tahlequah card but that wasn't related to race, just cultural background.

But in reality I literally do want my "indian" card, ID, license and license plate. Dammit.

LOL
My old man's tribe is in the process of becoming Federally recognized. And guess what? They're trying to build a casino, or at least a bingo hall. Of course, I have nothing to do with it. I never visited the reservation and I don't live as a Native American(or Shinnecock to be exact) On the real, I want nothing to do with the casino(or bingo hall). I couldn't ,in good conscience, attempt to all of a sudden claim NA heritage in order to get a few casino dollars. Leave it to the folks who have lived the life and been true to their culture and who really suffered at the hands of the European land thieves. Trust me, those folks could use the infusion of cash.

So, let's recap:
1) I had my Black card revoked and eventually restored. Though I'm still in probation
2) I never had my NA card for legal and moral reasons.
I guess I belong to no one. :-(

It ain't easy being green.

notice the Sesame Street reference

I bet they've got some white in them (especially outside of the 5 civilized), that's the only thing the government will recognize, once they figured out my family was mostly on the black side my Grandparents were the last people to get land -it's also arbitrary blood percentages and paper bag testing.
I'm now off to cast one of my many movies. . ..because it keeps me silent.

"why don't you do it then, huhn" works for EVERYTHING.

You get it wrong, my dear. You're casting your movie so you don't remain silent.

It's means I can never "complain" again about the same thing that fuels this board. The Disney princess can't get away with having no black male (the original prince could have been creole - who knows) but it's perfectly acceptable that Aaron McGrudger erases black females. I understand the hypocrisy completely. I also understand the need for silence on issues of gender equality. I am very well aware that men are allowed to get away with comparable murder w/in their subset. I am and will be perfectly silent while casting this movie that would take a miracle to even see the light of day.

At least, if you're going to be an apologist ass offer better advice. And what did I tell you about my manga? Silly pipe dream! Some of us want to do other things and can't be bothered by silly pipe dreams to fix the mistakes or oversights others make. It's is not my responsibility.

"why don't you do it, hunh?"= "shut up, I don't even want to think about the question you raised, I just want to dismiss it with unreasonable and silly advice by telling you something you already know".

I could have told my cat and gotten a better answer. If I wanted to worry. . ...
