Afro-punk

My comp disabled the CD-RW player/recorder drive due (it claims) to Windows Media Player being installed.
So, now, my comp doesn't detect a CD drive.
Is this a configuration problem/ or do I need to do something to have a new drive?

btw, I have an eMachines T1600 Windows XP version.

Same thing with my Windows XP. This could be a configuration problem, but in my case, I ended up having to get an external hard drive. Try a Pioneer, I've had it for a few years and it hasn't given me any trouble.

thanks, dude.
I'll probably just end up buying a new comp.
This one is kinda old.
