Just came across this lovely short video doc by photographer Finnbar O'Reilly, who captures a lighter side of the women of the Congo, where the style (when it comes to hair) is go big, or go home.

There was a sista named Din-Din from Belgum who used to post great photos from the Congo (where her family was from) here on AP. I believe she moved back and built a house there.

I remember getting my hair done like that when i lived in Nigeria!
We called it "plaiting thread", and some of the even more striking styles were done with colored thread and wool XD
