Not impressed at all. Please don't tell me that this is the best of Cali Punk.
I'm deleting this from my computer right now.
They were a lot better live, frankly. Actually, there were a bunch of Cali punk bands sounded way better live, cause they were not able to get really good quality recordings done.
Earlier Agent Orange, Geza X, Los Illegals, Redd Kross, earlier Suicidal Tendencies, early X, Fear, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, those were among my favorites from early California punk.
... um... scuse me... who's TSOL? T-T;

they're an old cali punk band. there seems to be an attempt to revive all the old school bands from the '80's; they're all touring and coming out with new albums and stuff. as far as i've seen (and heard!) with these old punk bands: their revival/reunion tours are good, but their new material really doesn't do anything for me.

OH... I thought it was one of those common knowledge band acronyms like ATDI or RHCP or something. I felt out of the know lol but now I have a band I'm gonna look up...
... and what luck! Zune has the stuff from the 80s
... and from looking up TSOL, I got a playlist for the original punk collection from punks early years... and I see an album I wanna check out: "Never mind the S*x Pistols: Here's the bollocks!" by Chelsea

Afro-punk is a platform for the other Black experience, the one we don't see in our media. D.I.Y (Do It Yourself) is the foundation.
