hmmm, I think I am kind of
last year at school I was in the cafeteria and I saw a bunch of my friends sitting at the table. So I walk over to say hey and I see this black kid I'd never seen before and he was like "WHOA ANOTHER BLACK KID!"

I don't think of it as being token though
more like me sharing more interests with a group whose majority isn't black

I feel dumb after reading what I typed.

To certain friends who've never had a black friend-I feel that way. Otherwise, I try to avoid people who think of me like that.

That's me :(

Around my guard friends everyone else is filipino and around my boyfriend's friend... well they're David but he's only around during band practice... but everyone else likes to make racist remarks that they think shouldn't bother me, but it does.

I definitely am. Ohhh well...[*sigh]

Kind of...
I mean I have tons of white friends and two close black girlfriends, and two black boys who have my taste and take on everything.
But only me and three other black kids are in our crew-- which is like 30 ppl. lol.

so its not much but ppl sure do like to crack the jokes.
However I try not to make a big deal out of it, that way the insensitivity doesn't seem so exclusive.

It's really sad. :< But, that's why I am glad there are sites like this, and I would be just as happy when there isn't a need for sites like this.
